What People Are Saying
“The Richmond Hill Curling Club feels like a second home to me. I don't live in Richmond Hill anymore but I keep driving back to this club anyways. The quality of game is strong at RHCC, but it's the people that really make this club the best."
— Curtis Samoy, RHCC Member
“I have curled at the Richmond Hill Curling Club for over 25 years and every fall I can’t wait to get back to the club to see everyone. The members make everyone feel included and welcome. I actually think of this place as a second home. I feel so relaxed and comfortable when I walk through the doors. I have learned so much at this club! I enjoy the varied types of curling; whether it be social or competitive, all female/male or mixed teams, day versus evening curling.”
— Lyn Coughlan, RHCC Member
When Jill and I moved to Richmond Hill in 1980 one of the first things we did was join the curling club. Since then it has been a mainstay in our lives, providing a source of recreation as well as a focus for many of our social activities. We have developed a number of close personal friendships through an initial contact at the club. Interestingly, most of my fond memories about the club are around a social activity: New Year's Eve party, end of year auction, closing dinner, etc. rather than a specific curling event. I think one of the keys to our enjoyment of the club and sense of connection is that we have always volunteered to help with various activities and committees. As we plan the next stage of our lives one of the considerations is always, "Well we still need to be able to curl at Richmond Hill."
